Upholding Manager Responsibilities helps equip supervisory employees to navigate and respond to common situations and challenges they might encounter.
In particular, this course emphasizes setting the tone, leading by example, and being a resource for your employees as key managerial responsibilities. Managers also receive guidance on managing without discrimination—especially when it comes to hiring, handling work assignments, promotions, and terminations of employment, and responding to accommodation requests. The course also offers instruction on providing constructive feedback, engaging in active listening, and navigating situations that require the involvement of additional organizational resources. Finally, managers receive direction on responding to employee concerns and reports as well as promoting a work environment free from retaliation.
