Understanding Wage and Hour Laws describes the guidelines and rules within the Fair Labor Standards Act, or FLSA, and best practices for following them.
The course details the requirements of the FLSA such as the federal minimum wage, rules for overtime pay, and guidelines for tipped and youth employees. Outcomes include knowledge of how to classify employees as exempt from the law and how to determine hours worked for nonexempt employees.
