Any challenge to bias or discrimination will help to send a strong message of what is OK and what isn’t. However, a challenge made by a person who isn’t actually the target of the discrimination can often have far more impact than the person involved saying something themselves.
Workplace challenges are everyday occurrences for us all, but for some of us they are constant and impact our confidence and performance. It can be helpful for anyone to have a group of supporters in their network who you can turn to for help and guidance or just to listen. These are your allies.
