Infectious Disease Awareness

Like it or not, infectious diseases are everywhere. And it’s not just doctors, nurses, and microbiologists who need to know the basics about how pathogens work and how to avoid them – everyone should know enough to keep themselves and the people around them safe.

In this lesson, you’ll learn:

  • the basics about what causes some common infectious diseases
  • how these diseases spread
  • how to recognise symptoms of infectious disease in yourself and others and what to do in case of an outbreak where you work.

This lesson is designed for those working in the hospitality industry.
