Food Safety for Manufacturing – Level 2
Moving on from Level 1, in this module you’ll learn about the importance of your food-handling responsibilities and find out more about food safety hazards, the harm they can cause and what you can do to avoid them. You’ll also discover the appropriate temperatures for freezing, chilling, cooking and reheating food, and for keeping food hot.
Learning Outcomes for this module include:
- Understanding of what a contaminant is, the types of contaminants and how to appropriately deal with them
- Ability to spot food safety hazards and prevent them
- The Legal requirements surrounding the topic
- The tools to establish a Cleaning practice and information on facilities and equipment
- Describe the first aid equipment that should be available to you
