Our world is being transformed by a series of megatrends, what Ernst and Young refers to as ‘large, transformative global forces that define the future by having far-reaching impacts on businesses, economies, industries, societies and individuals.’ (1) From population growth to global warming, these trends threaten our future on the planet. 

However, one megatrend has the potential to meet humanity’s challenges head on. Technological change continues to accelerate and can be exploited on the journey to net zero as a force for good.
