The Circular Economy

Since the Industrial Revolution, our society has been obsessed with the model of producing, using and discarding. We call this the linear model or cradle to grave. It’s at the heart of our quest for profitability, our measure of success and the basis of consumption.

If we are to combat climate change, we must find economic as well as environmental solutions. We all need to buy and consume things to live our lives, but there are ways we can do it which lessen the impact on the environment.

In this lesson you’ll find out how the way we buy, use, reuse and responsibly dispose of items can contribute to getting us closer to our goal of net zero by 2050.
