Safeguarding Adults: Level 2
In this module we will explore how those who work in healthcare services might spot abuse happening to an adult with care and support needs, and what they can do to safeguard them if it occurs. This module highlights the responsibility for protecting adults from risk of abuse. Working through this module. It studies The Care Act 2014, which defines adult safeguarding as protecting an adult’s right to live in safety, free from abuse and neglect.
Learning Outcomes for this module include:
Tools to remain observant and handle difficult situations, how and when to share information of a difficult nature
How to keep accurate, clear records, as they may be used in criminal proceedings
Become aware of what you should not do or say if someone discloses abuse to you
The steps to take If you are concerned about an adult at risk
Level 1 must be completed prior to commencing Level 2
