Safeguarding Children: Level 3 part 4
Child protection and safety is everyone’s responsibility, and anyone with a concern about a child’s welfare should refer their concern to Children’s Social Care.
The suite looks at the different signs and types of child abuse and neglect as well as taking action and involving Children’s Services. Professional practitioners will understand the importance of protecting children and how to keep them safe from abuse. Practitioners will be able to judge when action needs to be taken, how they should go about doing this and who they should involve. They’ll also have an awareness of what happens following the report of a concern.
Level 3 is aimed at registered staff working with adults who engage in assessing, planning, intervening and evaluating the needs of children where there are safeguarding concerns (as appropriate to role).
