Disability and Accessibility in the Workplace: Global Edition
Disability and Accessibility in the Workplace: Global Edition empowers employees to help an organization meet its obligations when it comes to protecting the rights of those with disabilities and promoting accessibility in the work environment.
First, learners are introduced to what qualifies as a disability, what accessibility means and how to recognize and reduce barriers, and high-level accommodation obligations. All employees will learn best practices for interacting with people with different types of disabilities in the work environment. Learners will also be encouraged to speak up about any actual or suspected improper behavior towards people with disabilities and to uphold an organizational commitment to nonretaliation.
This course includes content for managers and those with higher-risk responsibilities in this area, they’ll learn about ensuring legal and fair hiring practices, appropriately handling and responding to accommodation requests, properly implementing performance management, and/or upholding customer service obligations.
