Preventing Workplace Harassment (US) : CT Employee Edition
“Preventing Workplace Harassment: CT Employee Edition” covers what constitutes harassment, including how to recognize unwelcome conduct and the role played by unconscious bias and microaggressions. The course covers how to recognize and prevent harassment in the context of who might be a harasser and where and when it might take place (including online, after hours, and outside of the workplace).
Employees then learn how to identify harassment based on protected characteristics (race, religion, national origin, age, disability, sex, and other characteristics), and see in-depth content on sexual harassment and the forms it can take (hostile environment and quid pro quo). Learners receive instruction on recognizing and preventing workplace bullying and other abusive conduct that may not rise to the level of harassment, but which is still unacceptable in the workplace. The course concludes with sections on reporting in good faith, being an active bystander, and upholding an organizational commitment to non-retaliation.
This timed course is 2 hours long based on jurisdictional requirements.
Location: While this course is developed for a Connecticut audience, it includes the option to see Delaware (DE), Illinois (IL), Maine (ME), and/or New York (NY) content for any learners who also need content for those locations.
