Control of Substances Hazardous to Health: COSHH

The Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) Regulations 2002 is the law that requires all employers, including NHS Trusts, to control substances that are hazardous to health. The legislation covers the control of risks to employees and other people arising from exposure to harmful substances generated out of, or in conjunction with, any work activity under the employer’s control.
Learning Outcomes for this module include:
Understand why COSHH regulations are so important and who is at risk.
Learn ways to reduce the risks of exposure to hazardous substances
Understand the five-step process to implementing safe working practices.
