Managing Yourself and Your Time
Distractions, interruptions, poor planning and inefficient processes – there are many features of modern working life that can conspire to damage our productivity and leave us overwhelmed by competing deadlines. The module will show you how to plan your working day more effectively, through prioritising, delegating, controlling your environment, understanding yourself and identifying what you will change about your habits, routines and attitude. Complete a series of activities as you progress through the module, and you’ll be encouraged to draw up a plan of action that will help boost efficiency and limit interruptions.
Learning Outcomes for this module include:
Your learners will be able to determine the need to balance importance and urgency in their workload, prioritise and organise their workload more confidently, recognise productive and unproductive work behaviours and positively promote good time management working practices and their benefit to their personal organisation.
