LOLER in the Workplace
Accidents and fatalities involving lifting equipment in the workplace still happen.
As a business or organisation involved in lifting operations and working with lifting equipment, you have a duty to manage and control the risks to avoid injury or damage.
This module is an introduction to the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 (LOLER). It is designed for managers and supervisors, and others with responsibilities for health and safety in the workplace.
The Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER) are also relevant to lifting operations and equipment. PUWER is covered in a separate module.
