Care Certificate- Standard 4: Equality and Diversity
Practising equality and inclusion helps to ensure that people are not discriminated against. Equality involves treating people fairly and making sure that they have access to opportunities such as learning, employment, healthcare and social care. Inclusion involves accepting people for who they are and making sure that people are not left out because of their differences. It means accepting people as individuals and celebrating their differences. If you work in a way that supports equality and inclusion, you’ll reduce the likelihood of discrimination.
