Once you’ve settled down in role, and you have a full understanding of what the team does and what they have on their plate (take a look at Understanding Your New Team and Their Workload for more on this), it’s time to plan their ongoing work.
As someone who has probably only had responsibility for planning your own time so far in your career, this may take a little getting used to. This lesson will help you to plan your team’s workload effectively. It’s not a complete how-to or an attempt at project management training, but a ‘workload planning 101’ to help you get started.
