Positive Behaviour Support
Young people with additional needs, such as behavioural problems, substance misuse issues or learning needs, can sometimes display challenging behaviour. Positive Behaviour Support (or PBS) is an approach used to understand the meaning of behaviour for a young person and the context in which the behaviour occurs; it involves making a formal assessment of the young person and implementing plans that will improve their quality of life.
