An increasing number of vehicles are being driven for business purposes. The road safety problems associated with this group of drivers are correspondingly high – business drivers are a third more likely to have a collision than private drivers, and road accidents are the biggest cause of work-related accidental death.
The Driving Safety module outlines the risks and responsibilities of the business driver, including practical hints and tips on staying safe. We also look at what goes into a typical corporate motor policy.
Learning Outcomes for this module include:
This module is designed to give learners an overview of Driving Safety at work.
Learners will understand the risks involved with work related driving and the benefits of managing those risks.
Ability to identify the different types of driver, why accidents happen and what we need to take into account when it comes to different drivers.
Familiarisation with the aims and objectives of the corporate motor policy and why they need to be familiar with this.
